Product Details

The leaves and flowers of feverfew are primarily used for medicinal preparations. Here are some common uses of feverfew:

Migraine Headaches may be prevented and managed by Feverfew. It is believed to help reduce the frequency and intensity of migraines, potentially due to its anti-inflammatory and vasodilatory properties. The unique plant chemical it contains, parthenolide, helps relieve muscle spasms and may combat the widening of blood vessels that occurs in migraines. Feverfew has also been used to relieve general headaches, not just migraines.

Feverfew is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be beneficial for various inflammatory conditions. It has been used traditionally for conditions such as arthritis, joint pain, and menstrual cramps. Menstrual cramps occur when the lining of the uterus makes large amounts of prostaglandins. When these cells break down during menstruation, the prostaglandins are released. They constrict the blood vessels in the uterus and make its muscle layer contract, causing painful cramps. Because Feverfew has been shown to reduce prostaglandin production, it may be helpful in easing menstrual cramps.

Digestive issues have been assisted by using Feverfew including indigestion, bloating, and flatulence. It is believed to help soothe the digestive system and promote healthy digestion.

Skin Conditions such as acne and eczema may have relief by topically using Tanacetum parthenium. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that may help soothe the skin and reduce inflammation.
