Jilungin Leaf Flakes

Jilungin leaf, are leaves from the Terminalia canescens tree.  It is a traditional Australian medicinal plant used by Indigenous Australians for its various health benefits.

Jilungin Leaf Tea Recipe

1. Jilungin Leaf Tea

Ingredients:

• 1 teaspoon dried jilungin leaf
• 1 cup hot water
• Honey or lemon (optional)

Instructions:

1. Add the dried jilungin leaf to a cup of hot water.
2. Stir well and let it steep for 5-10 minutes.
3. Strain if desired, and add honey or lemon to taste.
4. Enjoy warm, especially before bedtime for its sleep-promoting benefits.

Jilungin Leaf Smoothie Recipe

2. Jilungin Leaf Smoothie

Ingredients:

• 1 banana
• 1 cup almond milk (or any preferred milk)
• 1 teaspoon jilungin leaf powder
• 1 tablespoon chia seeds
• 1/2 cup frozen berries
• 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions:

1. Place all the ingredients in a blender.
2. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour into a glass and enjoy, preferably in the evening to help wind down before sleep.

Jilungin must be processed in boiling water in a teapot or infuser

Steep for 10-15 minutes.
Enjoy hot or chilled as a refreshing iced tea
